LB/DE RULE:Shades of Gray
This thread is not a ruling but more a explanation.
I'm a victim of this rule in CNFL so I feel u guys pain
I have Ware and would rather run a 4-3 n put him at end
Even tho Ware plays on the end of the line in Dallas, He is a 3-4 olb
I could put him on end in my 4-3 by using the LB pass rush pkg and now its in far more formations
To simplify this rule
I SAY PLAY'EM WHERE THE GAME PUT THEM!!!!!
LB play LB, DE can play anywhere on DL
Only exceptions I will approve to the rule are those players that have already been switched in the NFL
because of a change of scheme
(Mario Williams, Aaron Kampman,Dwight Freeney etc)
Where a player played in College has NO bearing on if he will be allowed to play at DE. PERIOD
College is a totally different game
(Lamar Woodley was a DE @ Michigan but the knock on him was he was to small to be a every down hand in the dirty DE because his spd would be negated and he would be swallowed by bigger OT. He is a stud 3-4 OLB)
Use your pkgs
Going forward draft/trade to ur scheme
DO NOT BREAK THE RULE!!!
All records of complaints are held in the admin section of the boards multiple complaints may lead to player suspensions and up to owners being removed from the league.
Its a hard lesson learned but not the end of the world

Re: LB/DE RULE:Shades of Gray
To add to this, everyone was told to read the rules prior to the draft, so when drafting this should have been taken into account.
